Star Citizen Alpha 4.10 focuses on fixes and adds instanced Siege of Orison content

Star Citizen Alpha 4.10 is shaping up as a stabilization-heavy update, with reports pointing to broad fixes across crashes, missions, hauling, cargo, mining, salvage, and combat. The patch is also said to include fuel and quantum travel tuning, along with new content built around an instanced version of Siege of Orison.

The update appears to be in PTU testing rather than on the LIVE servers. Recent reporting says the current LIVE version remains Alpha 4.9, while 4.10 has reached Release Candidate testing. That means the build is close, but still subject to changes before it ships.

According to patch reports, 4.10 targets multiple stability problems, including client and server crash fixes and connection issues tied to several error codes. It also addresses mission progression bugs affecting cargo, refueling, bunker, salvage, and event activities.

Several fixes focus on day-to-day player routines. Hauling contracts and freight-elevator behavior have reportedly been improved, while cargo-handling problems and item-stowing errors were also addressed. Mining and salvage systems also receive attention, including changes to mining tools, salvage heads, and related mission reliability.

Combat and equipment tuning is part of the patch as well. Reports mention balance adjustments for certain ballistic weapons, changes to armor interactions, and a variety of ship and vehicle fixes. Fuel systems are also being revised, with both quantum and hydrogen fuel changes described as part of the update’s broader travel and economy tuning.

The headline content addition is the instanced Siege of Orison. Reports say the mode is now designed as a separate instance with checkpoint respawns and medical support, which should make the encounter more accessible and less punishing for groups. Other additions mentioned in the patch coverage include new mission lines and gear such as the Harrington rifle and the Krueger S65 Stingray, along with mining-focused progression content tied to Recco Battaglia.

For now, Alpha 4.10 looks less like a flashy feature drop and more like a cleanup pass aimed at making Star Citizen’s existing systems more reliable. For players who have been running into instability and mission bugs, that may be the most important change of all.
