Star Citizen Alpha 4.10 appears close, with Siege of Orison and weapon updates in PTU

Star Citizen Alpha 4.10 appears to be nearing release, with preview coverage and roadmap listings pointing to a patch that could bring back Siege of Orison alongside several gameplay and balancing changes.

In a weekend review posted August 3, Salty Mike said the update was expected soon, but warned it may not be fully ready yet. The review described active Public Test Universe (PTU) changes that include the addition of the Arlington lever-action rifle, which was characterized as overpowered in its current form, as well as fuel-balancing adjustments that would increase travel range for some single-seat ships.

The same preview said Siege of Orison is being moved toward a permanent sandbox-style activity, though the mode is still facing AI and performance issues in testing. It also said a new Orison Relief Support event focused on resource gathering and crafting is present in the PTU, but remains incomplete and currently non-functional. Story missions tied to Reco Battacia were also described as only partially implemented.

A separate video preview titled Star Citizen Alpha 4.10 Is HUGE! Instancing, New Weapons & Siege of Orison Returns also framed the patch as a major one, highlighting instancing, new weapons, and the return of Siege of Orison. A Star Citizen wiki page for Alpha 4.10.0 lists planned additions including instancing, the Siege of Orison operation, fuel tank and consumption rebalancing, a new Vendetta HMG, the Arlington rifle, and a new optic attachment.

The available reporting suggests 4.10 is still in active development, with several features appearing unfinished and bug-prone. Outside the patch itself, the week also included the Foundation Festival, Ship Showdown activity, and other promotional events.
