In today’s video, the presenter, Space Coder, discussed Base building and Star Citizen, and the end goal they are aiming for. The technology required, including a land claim beacon and Pioneer - a mobile construction site, were introduced. The presenter then suggested that a smaller step would be to allow pre-fabricated buildings to be rentable and movable. They proposed that Resource Management, Land Claim Beacons, and Mechanics behind the actual building will be required in order to achieve the end goal.
As to what structures can be built, the presenter proposed:
- a small towable refinery
- portable manned turret
- small medical clinic
as examples. Although star citizen is a long way off from these goals, the presenter believes that in the future, base building will be a very important part of the game.
Finally, the presenter urged viewers to comment on what they would like to see in terms of the first implementation of construction, and the type of portable structures they would like. They concluded by thanking the viewers and patrons for their support, and wished them to fly safe.
