Star Citizen 4.10 PTU removes Aurora Mk I from in-game shops
Star Citizen’s 4.10 PTU update has removed the Aurora Mk I from in-game shops, ending new in-game access to one of the game’s oldest starter ships, according to multiple community reports.
The change appears to follow the previously announced September 30 deadline after which players could no longer pledge for the Aurora Mk I. Players who already own the ship can continue using it until the next wipe or the game’s official 1.0 release, but fresh purchases are no longer available in the live in-game stores.
In its place, the Aurora Mk II is now listed where the Mk I was previously sold. Reports from the PTU also say the Mk II comes with a more capable loadout and expanded customization options, including separate cargo and combat modules that can be bought in-game.
The 4.10 PTU patches add several other ships and vehicles to shops as well, including the MISC Hull B, the Greycat UTV, and the Krueger L22 Alpha Wolf. Community reports also mention mining-related additions such as new blueprint rewards and mining modules, alongside a broader set of bug fixes.
While the removal of the Aurora Mk I may be a small inventory change on paper, it marks the end of in-game availability for a ship that has long served as an early entry point for new players.
