Just got the Redlight for the build. We’re looking into it but looks like it will be better for us to try and get the build more stable for an earlier time tomorrow

Spectrum MOTD:

Testing/Feedback Focus

Stability Playtest

  • This test will run for about 3 hours on the PTU channel for Evocati members.
  • This is currently a stability playtest on the new 3.24.2 branch and not focused on new feature feedback.

Spectrum MOTD:

(Thursday) We are not planning on publishing a build to PTU or Tech-Preview today. Current goal is having an Evocati build tomorrow that will hopefully be stable enough to leave up over the weekend.

Spectrum MOTD:

(Friday) We are currently putting together a new 3.24.2 build for Evocati tonight and through the weekend.
Team is working on many new stability and performance improvements for the next TECH-PREVIEW test with the current goal of early next week for another meshing test.

Bault-CIG on Meshing Tech-Preview:

Hi all, still ironing out kinks in the Meshing optimizations. Many side effects were found so we have to delay our Technical Preview again and use a bit more time to test the changes. We’ll go to another technical preview the moment those are validated. Thanks all! Excited to see you on there next time it’s up!

We hope for major speed improvements and lower latency for the next testing phase

Star Citizen Alpha 3.24.2 PTU.9221646 Arena Commander Patch Notes

Frontend Restyle & Improvements
The Arena Commander Frontend (main menu) has had its visual overhaul. Alongside this visual upgrade we have made several quality-of-life improvements and feature additions, from “Remember My Selection” for mode selection to a Force Launch feature.

Squadron 42 meets Persistent Universe in this blend of UI styles, establishing style direction for future Arena Commander UIs.

Game Modes
Free Flight

  • Player Limit Increased to 24
  • New Map: The Good Doctor
  • Travel over 100 years in the past and explore both inside and out this unique Hatfield & Harding facility on Mya, in the Leir System. A historical snapshot of a beautiful location with a harrowing sinister past.

System & Balance

  • Mini-Map: Alongside Security Post Kareah, all Arena Commander locations have been updated to support the mini-map HUD feature.

REC Pricing

  • All vehicle REC pricing have been halved.

Miscellaneous
All locations featuring the “holosphere” have had it replaced with the soft playable-area system, this should resolve a number of graphical issues caused by the loading/unloading of this legacy asset.

DJ-Buntin (Arena Commander guy) asked me to post this, blame him :slightly_smiling_face:
@GeneralNews

A small hotfix has been deployed to Evocati fixing some crashing issues in the most recent build. This bumps the version number to 3.24.2 PTU.9347188

may explain the high instability initially

MOTD update: :joystick:(Mánadagr) We are currently putting together a TECH-PREVIEW build for an RMQ/Meshing test with all backers later today with loads of further performance and stability improvements that will help push us further

sc-testing-chat | Wakapedia-CIG: :space_invader: We believe we found what was going on with the trams for the TECH-PREVIEW and are kicking a hotfix to test this out. We should know in maybe 1.5-2 hours if we can go today

Wakapedia-CIG:

We’re going to need to start the tech-preview test tomorrow due to time today. Team is mostly in the UK and want to be around for the test so we are most likely looking at tomorrow at this point so we can have the whole team available to monitor and gather data along with you all.

MOTD update: :joystick:(Tysdagr) We are currently working on a new 3.24.2 build for release to Evocati today. We do not plan on publishing a new TECH-PREVIEW today and are still planning on one this week.
