Star Citizen Alpha 4.10 appears to be nearing release, with community videos saying the patch could go live within days and possibly around mid-August 2026.
According to the reports, the update is currently in an open PTU phase while Cloud Imperium Games focuses on bug fixing, performance work, and final polish. One of the highlighted technical changes is VFX texture streaming, which is intended to reduce frame stutters. The patch is also said to include broader performance improvements and instancing upgrades, with particular attention on Siege of Orison.
The videos point to a weekend playtest centered on Siege of Orison instancing changes, alongside testing of backend improvements meant to improve stability, mission flow, and overall performance. Reported areas under scrutiny include party management, respawn behavior, mission acceptance, boss fight reliability, exploit mitigation, and AI desync.
Other changes mentioned in the coverage include a rework of Siege of Orison instance sizing, bug fixes tied to missions, inventory, UI, and crashes, and updates to in-game shops with new ships and modules. At the same time, some requested additions, such as Torrent ballistic PDTs, are reportedly still missing.
The coverage also notes a list of known issues that remain under review before release, including problems equipping items, missing missions, unobtainable blueprints, recoil mission bugs, instancing delays, and performance drops in certain areas.
While the exact release date has not been officially confirmed in the sources, the overall message from the videos is that Alpha 4.10 is approaching live deployment, with CIG still working through the final round of fixes and optimization.
