Reminder to what the RMQ is:

(Replication Message Queuing)
RMQ is a major change in our underlying network code that will help set us up for the future. While you may not notice any immediate difference, these changes will allow us to process vastly more network traffic, more quickly and are an essential step in scaling the replication layer to support server meshing and increased player counts in the future.

We are currently testing a new hotfix for 3.24 LIVE and once ready will push it out to the HOTFIX channel later today.

NEW FIXES:

  • Fixed cargo boxes clipping into ground right after detaching from the cargo grid (STARC-122789)
  • Disabled setting a respawn point to a ship that is in an instanced hangar as a partial fix for player characters getting broken when the spawn point is streamed out (STARC-124234)
  • Fixed 2 Server Crashes

Technical

This hotfix will not affect non-LTP items in game so you will not lose consumables, rentals, refinery jobs, character/hangar customization, and home locations.

Edit: Hotfix has been pushed onto the LIVE channel

*:joystick:(Waka’s Day) We are currently working on further hotfixes for release today onto the HOTFIX channel and then to live. Includes fixes for entities breaking personal hangar elevators, ore trading mismatch error, further medical bed in hangar and 30009 error fixes, and ship delivery stuck at 00:00 fixes.

We are also currently putting together a new build for a Tech-Preview where we will push the limits since the previous test with the combined power of RMQ and Meshing.*

Wakapedia: With RMQ along with Ivan and the meshing team doing so much work, we'll see if we can push it a bit with players per shard. Maybe 800 players?

eight… hundred… players…

Spectrum MOTD:

(Wednesday) Slight Soulcrush tonight, the hotfix will have to wait until tomorrow while we test further against the live servers. In the meantime we’ve rolled in another fix for Freight Elevator Stuck on Loading Contents (STARC-124244) for when we hotfix tomorrow

Spectrum MOTD:

(Thor’s Day) Today we are planning on putting the new LIVE Hotfix onto the HOTFIX channel a bit later this morning while the meshing team finalizes the final build needed for a hopeful TECH-PREVIEW Meshing test later today. Will update here when more info is available but we plan on running the test up to 24 hours once we go out

Wakapedia-CIG: We’re also getting closer to the Tech-Preview test. So far everything is going well to get that out in the next few hours

During the test, all missions have been removed as there are currently bugs preventing these from working with Server Meshing but otherwise play as normal! Spread out around Stanton's moon's and planets

Sorry to say, no go tonight. Waka details they will try again tomorrow.

Wakapedia-CIG

After discussions and looking at the issue, the current build we have cannot go out for tech-preview. Networking team is looking through things but the crash that was hit right at launch would chain the servers very quickly and block the test tonight. We’re going to have to try again once they can fix the issue which will most likely not be till morning

Wakapedia-CIG: Vulkan fans! Good news for today, we have resolved the top Vulkan GPU crash and are currently working on another hotfix for LIVE for later today https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-112068

Wakapedia-CIG:

Issue blocking last night’s server meshing test has been resolved and a build has been kicked. Will update here what the plan is today once we discuss
AI locamotion was crashing the servers once we had enough authority zones interacting

Spectrum MOTD:

(Friday) We are currently building a 3.24.1 build for release onto the PTU today for all waves. This is a combination of updates and stability fixes since the last LIVE release along with the Blockade Runner global event
Currently, the meshing Tech-Preivew build is on hold. We are still in discussions on when we can run the test next but we’re not expecting today and will update as soon as we have a more solid build
