Bug Fixes

  • Fixed - Tractor Beam - UI not updating whether the targeted box can be lifted or not until firing beam
  • Fixed - PU - Cargo / Missions - Cargo Hauling - Hauling Containers placed next to Hangar pad will disappear when a ship is retrieved (STARC-122318)
  • Fixed - PU - Cargo Hauling - Mission reputation hits UINT_MAX overflow causing reputation to be negative (STARC-121699)
  • Fixed - PU - Stanton - ASOP / Fleet Manager / UI / Personal Hangars - When another player is on the pad in a hangar instanced on top of yours, you can’t deliver or retrieve a ship and it reverts you back to the ASOP list
  • Fixed - PU - Actor - Inventory- Items drops to floor when trying to combine them in inventory (STARC-118542)
  • Fixed - PU - Freight Elevators - Large ships can obstruct nearby freight elevators when landed on pads at outposts (STARC-119181)
  • Fixed - PU - Stanton - UI - Commodity Kiosk - Total SCU count does not update on commodity kiosk (STARC-119542)
  • Fixed - PU - Actor - Inventory- Items drops to floor when trying to combine them in inventory (STARC-118542)
  • Fixed - PU - Stanton - Locations / Cargo - Elevator shows blocked error when attempting to store stolen mission cargo
  • Fixed - PU - Stanton - Cargo Hauling - Mission Content / Game Code - Returning the cargo after abandoning the mission does not finish the mission

Spectrum MOTD:

We’re currently working on a 2 option hotfix for the issue. It appears to be related to a bugfix from tonight’s build (Fixed - PU - Cargo / Missions - Cargo Hauling - Hauling Containers placed next to Hangar pad will disappear when a ship is retrieved (STARC-122318)) We’re working on 2 hotfixes to test, 1 that backs out the change, and other that has a chance to resolve it. Once ready we’ll push it out to you all but could be a couple hours!

(Sunday) We are currently putting together a small build to combine multiple client and server crash fixes for release onto the PTU today.

Patch that fixes 2 Client Crashes, 4 Server Crashes, and Hybrid Server Crash was pushed for PTU (Build 9294347). Like most patch notes does not detail the bugs it fixes by name. Rare to see CIG crunch a weekend build/release like this and appreciate their effort to advancing 3.24

(Monday) Blockade Runner will be coming down in about 45 minutes from this message. We are planning on pushing out some hotfixes onto the PTU servers for blockade runner this afternoon and will start up the event again after that goes out

(Monday) Tonight over the next few hours we are going to slowly be rolling out a server side only hotfix for a hybrid service crash that has been prevalent on the PTU.

Gameplay

  • Removed the Ability to Salvage While in Instanced Hangars

Core Tech

  • New LTP Additions
  • Hangar decorations, commodity containers, and mining gadgets are all now saved in LTP. With this update, items placed to decorate personal hangars will be reset back into your local inventory during updates.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing player elevator panels in hangars to go missing

Technical

  • Fixed 1 Server Crash
  • Fixed 2 Hybrid Service Crashes

(Wednesday) We are currently building a new 3.24 PTU Hotfix to address player elevator issues on the current PTU.
Goal is to release this onto the PTU today to verify the fix and if all is well will be our LIVE Release Candidate

(Wednesday) Server Side hotfix is slowly rolling out on PTU for testing. This is a change that will help elevators failing to work for players at many locations

(Friday) A hotfix has been slowly rolling out to LIVE servers since last night to help fix Orison medium hangars. We are currently working on further fixes today including one for getting stuck in beds (please press ‘y’ to get up instead of ‘f’ as this will cause you to get stuck)

(Friday) We are currently testing further client/server hotfixes internally with the intention of putting them on the HOTFIX channel on the launcher shortly. Includes fixes for multiple hybrid crashes, Orison Medium Hangars, PVE bounty Markers, getting stuck in bed while pressing F, Klesher merit value, forever pending sell orders, and more

Server Info: HOTFIX Channel which connects to the LIVE environment

Testing/Feedback Focus

  • This hotfix has additional logging to for elevator panel interaction issues to further verify and track down issues
  • Players can test the hotfix by renaming or copying their LIVE folder to HOTFIX and verifying on the HOTFIX channel on the launcher. Connecting to this will put players on the LIVE servers to test the fixes before it goes out later onto the LIVE channel.
  • If all goes well with this hotfix we may push it to the LIVE channel for everyone tonight after an hour or so

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed - PU - Missions / UI - PvE Bounty missions - Mission marker is not showing after accepting the mission (STARC-121216)
  • Fixed - PU - Transit/Elevators - Elevators are present but panel buttons stop functioning at Orison and Space Stations (STARC-121322)
  • Note: This is not a fix for the grey panel issue. This is fixed internally but is not hotfixable and will be coming in a later build
  • Fixed - PU - Shopping/Selling - Klescher - All harvestable are giving 1 Merit per harvestable instead of a value for the type of harvestable (STARC-124745)
  • Fixed - PU - Selling / Creatures / Shopping / Loot - Unable to sell Kopion Horn and Marok Gem anywhere (STARC-108849)
  • Fixed - Stanton - Shopping / Selling - Commodity Kiosk / UI - When creating a manual sell order, players will forever have a pending sell order on the commodity kiosk
  • Fixed - Stanton - Shopping / Selling - Commodity Kiosks / UI- Players are not being charged an additional Auto-Loading fee

  • Fixed 3 Hybrid Service Crashes

New Server Side hotfix is still rolling out to shards on LIVE to fix 2 more issues. Currently at about 35% hotfixed shards but gaining fast

  • Fixed - PU - Disconnection Error - 30009 - Players are disconnected while loading into PU - reason="Remote Disconnect - Cannot send the current solar system for ‘SendCurrentSolarSystem’
  • Fixed - PU - Locations - Instanced Hangars / ATC - If a player calls ATC too quickly after their gateway approval window expires to land, when the hangar doors close the ship can get stored and eject the player

(Tuesday) Goals for the week

We are currently working on further stability hotfixes for 3.24 LIVE with plans to roll out server hotfixes throughout the week.
We are also currently putting together a new build for a Tech-Preview RMQ/Meshing test later this week!

Reminder to what the RMQ is:

RMQ is a major change in our underlying network code that will help set us up for the future. While you may not notice any immediate difference, these changes will allow us to process vastly more network traffic, more quickly and are an essential step in scaling the replication layer to support server meshing and increased player counts in the future.
