Titan Leigong Rewards Announced by FDEV // Elite Dangerous

"The Titan Leigong has been reduced to a few smouldering clouds of caustic doom after your incredibly successful military campaign! That’s two Titans down, which is an amazing accomplishment! The rewards are now in the game - what do you think of them?

Whilst we have introduced several improvements to resolve issues with bugged Titan instances we are aware that some of you continue to encounter them. For that reason, we have decided to change how rewards would be given out on this occasion. For Titan Leigong we will be gifting cosmetic rewards to everyone who jumped into HIP 8887 within the week before the meltdown began, regardless of the damage done to the Titan or credits earned. We are working hard to ensure that issues with Titan instances will be resolved for future battles."

Frontier Developments announced rewards for players who participated in taking down the Titan Leong in Elite Dangerous. Despite encountering some bugs during the event, Frontier is working on resolving these issues for future battles. Players who were in the residence system of Leong before the meltdown will receive Cosmetic rewards, regardless of the damage done. The rewards are sequential, meaning the more Titans a player takes down, the more rewards they will unlock. For example, players who took down both Tanis and Leong will receive a new ship decal with two stars representing the two Titans, as well as a Cobra Mark II ship kit and paint job.

To unlock the Cosmetic rewards, players must have dealt damage to the Titan’s heat core within a week before it went into meltdown and earned a minimum of 2 million credits from hitting the core during that time. There is currently a bug in the game that allows players to inflict damage on the core even when it is not extended, which may be patched out in the future. Players will also receive arcs from taking down Titan hearts and more if they are a top contributor. The Titans become stronger the more systems they control, so players are encouraged to team up to take out these controlled systems to make the Titans vulnerable and increase credit payouts.

Players have expressed mixed reactions to the choice of the Cobra Mark II ship for the rewards, with some suggesting other ships like the Fer-de-Lance. The rewards for future Titan encounters will include ship kits and paint jobs, with different rewards based on the number of Titans a player has engaged with. Overall, players are looking forward to the next Titan takedown event and are hopeful that any remaining bugs will be addressed by Frontier.
