Super Hornet Review | Anvil F7CM | Star Citizen 3.10 Gameplay

“In this video, I conduct a detailed review of the Star Citizen ship, the Anvil F7CM Super Hornet, featuring gameplay footage. The gameplay for this Star Citizen Super Hornet review is from patch 3.10”

In this video, the YouTuber Farrister reviews the Anvil F7CM Super Hornet in Star Citizen 3.10. He splits the review into five sections, starting with a ship tour and deck layout. The Super Hornet is a combat ship with no decks or facilities, dedicated entirely to combat. It has two seats, a front pilot seat, and a rear co-pilot seat, allowing for a friend to join.

Next, Farrister discusses the combat performance of the Super Hornet. It has a variety of weapon options and firepower, including a nose turret, wing-mounted weapons, and a ball turret. It also comes with eight size one missiles. The Super Hornet feels like a heavy fighter and is capable of engaging larger ships, but its survivability is hindered by the weak shields.

Moving on to handling and visibility, Farrister notes that the Super Hornet has great all-around visibility from the cockpit, with the exception of some support struts. It handles well in space combat maneuvering speeds and accelerates and decelerates effectively. In atmosphere, it handles fairly well and can fly comfortably near the surface of a moon.

When it comes to operating costs, the Super Hornet is relatively cheap. Rearming and refueling costs are low, and repairs can be a bit more expensive. However, the lack of cargo storage limits its ability to take on non-combat contracts. The quantum drive has good range, covering most of the Stanton system.

In his final verdict, Farrister believes that the Super Hornet’s potential as a fighter aboard larger ships is interesting but as a standalone ship in the current state of the game, it is primarily focused on combat and lacks confidence in that role due to its weak shields. He compares it to other ships like the Cutlass Black, which are more versatile and still offer strong armament. Despite being his go-to fighter in the early days of the game, Farrister is disappointed by the Super Hornet’s performance and limited upgrade options for its weak shields.
