Star Wars Outlaws is a highly anticipated open world action RPG set to release in 2024. Ubisoft have revealed some gameplay that looks impressive, allowing players to fly spaceships, explore planets, and travel between star systems all in seamless real time. There are cues from other major space games, with hyperspace corridors and a third-person viewpoint giving players a real sense of being in the Star Wars universe. Combat mechanics look to follow the Ubisoft template and can feel a bit clunky at times, but there is still time to improve before release.

Players will be able to explore large open world environments on each of the planets, with the freedom to roam around freely and explore new places. Scenery from the game looks detailed and immersive, giving players the chance to immerse themselves in the Star Wars universe and really feel apart of it. This is an exciting concept and one that is sure to be enjoyed by players.

The game is currently single player but there is plenty of potential for it to expand and offer multiplayer, something that other major space games are already doing. Beyond Good and Evil 2 may have had an influence on the development of Star Wars Outlaws, as there are similar elements in terms of spaceships and travelling around between worlds. It is exciting to see what Ubisoft are bringing to the table with this game and it is sure to be an enjoyable experience upon release.
