Star Citizen - The future of hauling

This video discusses the importance of cargo hauling in the dynamic economy of Star Citizen and focuses on larger cargo ships like the Hull series for long-distance trade routes between star systems. While there are currently some limitations and issues with trading, it is expected that future iterations of cargo hauling will address these and enhance the gameplay experience.

In this video, the importance of cargo hauling and large-scale transactions in the dynamic economy of Star Citizen is discussed. The focus is on the larger cargo ships, such as the Hull series, Hercules, and Caterpillar, which are designed specifically for cargo hauling. The flow of goods in the verse is explained, with outposts and facilities generating goods that are transported by small and medium cargo ships to orbital stations. Larger cargo ships then transfer larger volumes of cargo between nearby hubs within a star system. However, trading between star systems is necessary, as not every system can produce everything it needs. This is where the Hull series shines, as it is perfect for long-distance hauling between star systems. The release of the Hull C recently added trade routes between orbital stations in Stanton, serving as a placeholder until actual hauling is possible. However, there are reservations about the limited number of suitable stations and available commodities. Additionally, there are issues with trading using the Hull C, such as cargo loading problems. Despite these issues, it is believed that many of them will be addressed in the next iteration of cargo hauling, improving the quality of hauling gameplay.
