Star Citizen Shadow Patch Notes 3.22 Structural Salvage, Re-log Loophole, Settlement Trading, & More

In the Shadow Patch Notes 3.22 for Star Citizen, players will find new additions such as cybernetic posters, settlements, and ship stat changes. The Salvage system has been improved, FPS mechanics and Arena Commander have been updated, and there are new armor options, maps, and ships available for in-game purchase.

In the latest patch notes for Star Citizen’s Shadow update, several changes and additions have been made. Players who obtained a Best in Show skin for their ships received cybernetic posters as items in their inventory. These posters can be hung up in multiple spots in the player’s Hab, but they currently do not persist. However, in the future, players will be able to buy player-owned housing for decoration. There are also new settlements across Stanton, where players can find vehicles, NPCs, and new missions.

Ship stat changes were implemented, including the increase of the Reclaimer’s cargo grid from 300 to 420. Shield removal was noticed for most hover bikes, such as the Knox and Dragonfly, possibly due to the release of a hover bike with a shield. A new jump town location, Echo Isle, has been added to the planet HST. Restar movements to previous jump town locations have also been made for stability. Additionally, tools have been added for cleaning up limited space for landings.

The Salvage system is a highlight of this update. The Salvage UI has been modified, with new controls for switching laser heads. Structural Salvage, or “munching,” has been introduced. Players can fracture objects with their ship’s vulture or reclaimer and then dissolve and vacuum the pieces using the claw or straw. Construction materials, the new commodity introduced with Salvage, will likely be used for base building. Crafting costs have been reduced, and a new buffer system has been introduced, allowing players to create multiple items and dispense them one by one.

Other changes include FPS armor shop price increases, improvements to weapon aim recoils, and adjustments to player health, damage modifiers, and medical mechanics. New armors and maps have been added, as well as improvements to Arena Commander, including multi-crew spawning and vehicle selection mid-game. Several new ships are now available for in-game purchase. Lastly, changes to player-owned cargo laws and bug fixes have been implemented.

In summary, the shadow update for Star Citizen introduces various changes and new features. These include cybernetic posters, settlements, ship stat changes, Salvage system improvements, and updates to FPS mechanics and Arena Commander. Players can expect a more immersive experience with new armor options, maps, and in-game ship purchases.
