Star Citizen: Least Favorite Size 3&4 ships of the Verse

“Welcome everyone and today we bring you the follow up to the list of favorite ships to fly in the Size 3 and 4 category with the list of the least favorites as voted on by Youtube and the Discord community. Let us know what you think and wh”

In this video, the YouTuber Dark Hour 717 presents the results of a survey asking the YouTube and Discord community about their least favorite size 3 and 4 ships in Star Citizen. The survey focused on ships such as the Vanguard, MSR, and 400i, which utilize size 2 components and occasionally a size 3. The video counts down the top 5 least favorite ships based on the survey results.

Starting at number 5, the Crusader Aries Ion Starfighter makes the list. This ship was initially well-received but has undergone adjustments that have divided the community. Many players feel the ship has been “neutered” and upgraded to other ships, only flying it when more favorable changes are made.

At number 4, the Aegis Vanguard Hoplite is considered the “cousin Oliver” of the Vanguard series. The ship is priced at the entry level for pledges, but as a drop ship, it falls short in several areas. It lacks cargo capacity and has a small entry and exit area, making troop deployment and extraction difficult. Its design is sharp and aggressive, but it is better suited as an interceptor or torpedo ship.

The Freelancer DUR lands at number 3. As an exploration variant of the Freelancer, it currently lacks purpose in the game due to the non-existent exploration gameplay loop. While armed well and offering decent defense, its handling is heavy and unresponsive. It may find more purpose as the game expands into multiple systems.

Taking the number 2 spot is the Drake Cutlass Steel, which surprises the YouTuber as he expected it to be number 1. This drop ship variant is outperformed by its sibling, the Cutlass Black, and offers little improvement for its higher price. Its weaponry is limited, lacking in effectiveness, and has a limited range of motion for its rear turret.

Finally, at number 1, the most disliked ship according to the survey is the MISC Freelancer. Despite its decent cargo space, defense, and the popularity of other Freelancer variants, the base Freelancer suffers from poor maneuverability and slow turning. While it can absorb hits, making it durable, it falls short of player expectations.

Overall, this survey reveals the community’s least favorite ships in the size 3 and 4 category of Star Citizen, highlighting their issues with functionality, price, and performance.
