Star Citizen - F7CM Ballistic Hornet Build - Arena Commander 1.0

In this video, YouTuber “Board Gamer” showcases his modified Hornet ship, which he refers to as the “ballistic bastard,” in Star Citizen’s Arena Commander. Equipped with a mix of ballistic and laser weapons, he demonstrates its strong firepower and maneuverability, despite encountering some mishaps during combat.

In this video, the YouTuber known as “Board Gamer” is showcasing a modified Hornet ship in Star Citizen, which he refers to as the “ballistic bastard.” Originally equipped with all ballistic weaponry, he decided to add laser weapons as well due to the Hornet’s durability and strong power plant. The specific loadout includes two Tiger Strike cannons on the B turret, two Ballistic cannons (Longsword Nin) on the front, and two size two laser repeaters on the wings. He wanted to use cluster missiles but was unable to due to size limitations, so he equipped quad fire-and-forget size one missiles instead.

Moving on to testing the ship in Arena Commander, the YouTuber demonstrates its firepower against Vanduul enemy ships. The ballistic cannons prove to be incredibly strong, effectively tearing through the targets with ease. He praises the Hornet’s flying capabilities, noting that its speed of 200 allows for easy maneuvering without the risk of crashing. He emphasizes the importance of using the fast-firing (faf) missiles against agile enemies.

However, he encounters a mishap when he crashes into an asteroid due to a lack of awareness. Despite this setback, he continues to engage in dogfights, showcasing the Hornet’s ability to perform well in strafing combat when decoupled. He realizes later on that he was flying with G safe on, which affected the ship’s handling. The YouTuber concludes that despite his own mistakes, the build is still effective and enjoyable to use.

Towards the end of the video, he encounters more enemy ships and continues to engage in combat. The ship sustains damage, with one laser gun falling off and one wing being damaged. Despite these setbacks, he is impressed with the functioning chain guns and invites viewers to share their own ship builds and weapon configurations. Finally, he signs off by reminding viewers to like, subscribe, and look forward to his future content.
