Star Citizen 4.10.1 LIVE! Sabre Raven EX, Permanent Rewards & New Akuma Mech!

Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.1 has officially launched, bringing numerous fixes, optimizations, and a new limited-time event focused on rebuilding Orison after attacks by the Ninetailes gang. This event runs until October 7th, coinciding with the planned release of Alpha 4.10.2, and offers 14 new contracts that include resource gathering, medical supply deliveries, crafting platform thrusters, and combat missions against the Ninetailes. Players’ progress is tracked personally, with six permanent rewards such as unique armor and weapon skins granted directly to accounts, ensuring these items persist beyond the alpha phase.

A highlight of this patch is the return of the Saber Raven in a new EX variant, which combines the Raven’s hull with the Saber’s firepower, including four size three weapons, a quantum dampener, and two size four missile hard points. Positioned between the Saber and the original Raven in terms of armor, agility, and stealth, the Saber Raven EX is now flyable and priced between $165 and $185. This new medium fighter aims to fill the role of a space superiority fighter and interdictor, offering players an exciting new option in combat.

Additionally, the patch introduces the Ninetailes Shogun pack, which features themed weapons, armor, and a custom paint job for the Drake Cutlass, anchored by the unique Argo Atlas Akuma mech variant. This Akuma variant includes a jump pack and plasma repeater weapons with splash damage, making it distinct from the standard Atlas. While the pack is visually striking and high quality, it is relatively expensive at around $75 and is only available as a limited-time pledge bundle, sparking some debate among players about its exclusivity and availability.

Beyond new content, Alpha 4.10.1 also brings quality improvements to loot harvested from creatures and plants, introduces a soft death state for ground vehicles, and expands weapon attachment availability to make looting more rewarding. Contract cargo distribution has been refined for better balance, and audio updates enhance the gaming experience with revamped sounds for the Aegis Saber series and new laser cannon effects. The patch also addresses 37 issues, focusing on fixes for session-breaking bugs, contract errors, vehicle retrieval problems, and exploits, contributing to overall game stability.

The creator of the video plans to test the Saber Raven EX and is considering purchasing the Akuma bundle, inviting viewers to share their thoughts on these additions and the Orison relief event. They also promote a monthly ship giveaway, including the Krueger S65 Stingray for September 2026, and encourage support through likes, comments, subscriptions, and affiliate links. Overall, Alpha 4.10.1 is seen as a strong update that enriches gameplay while setting the stage for future developments in Star Citizen.
