Star citizen 3.9 goes back to the ptu

Star Citizen alpha 3.9 has returned to the Public Test Universe (PTU) with a focus on improving persistence, character research, and stability. Known issues include irretrievable ships and access problems in certain game modes, but some bugs have been fixed, and long term persistence has been optimized for easier troubleshooting.

Star Citizen alpha 3.9 has returned to the Public Test Universe (PTU), according to a forum post. The developers are focusing on improving persistence, character research, alpha UEC stability, and character state stability. They recommend deleting user folders before accessing the PTU. Some known issues include ships becoming irretrievable, players being unable to access the private lobby in Star Marine and Arena Commander, and the lack of an orbit mining attachment for the multi-tool in the prison commissary. Another issue is when players exit prison, their loadout remains unchanged. However, a few things have been fixed, such as characters no longer becoming invisible and unusable, players spawning without their mobile glass attached, and duplicate ship generation. The long term persistence has also been optimized for easier investigation of issues. The PTU version is not yet on the live servers, so players can check it out and see if the new version is an improvement. The Eradicator will be releasing a full review of alpha 3.9 soon.
