Star Citizen 3.20 is Being Finalized - Early Release Coming Soon

Star Citizen version 3.20 is being finalized and is expected to be released soon, possibly during the third quarter. While it may not have a lot of new content, it will introduce some interesting features. Among the confirmed additions are the Seraphim Station, a new fully operational battle station that offers various services, and the Crusader platforms, which will provide new missions and opportunities for looting. Additionally, experimental modes for Arena Commander, salvage contracts, and the highly anticipated Hull C ship implementation are also planned for this release.

The Seraphim Station will be a hub for multiple shops, cargo services, and repair options. The Crusader platforms will be home to new missions, potentially including FPS combat and delivery missions. It is also hinted that passenger transport missions within planets or even between planets might be introduced in the future. The experimental modes for Arena Commander will offer players new gameplay options, while salvage contracts will provide opportunities for players to strip the markings and paint off a ship used in a crime.

The Hull C ship is finally making its way into the game after over 10 years of anticipation. This ship includes various tasks such as designing, creating the art and audio, and implementing mechanics to buy and sell cargo. There will also be improvements to wheeled vehicle handling, which is particularly important for ground racing activities. While the 3.20 patch is not expected to be major, it sets the stage for future updates, and it is speculated that version 4.0 might be released in 2024. A giveaway for a Scorpius and Taurus ship is also mentioned, with participants needing to be YouTube or Patreon members or enter a video sharing contest on Discord.
