Srar Citizen: The First Look at the Hull C and Cargo Operations Using It

Ray from Ray’s Guide provides a first look and overview of the Hull C, a new cargo ship in Star Citizen. He discusses its features, such as cargo operations and ship layout, as well as potential challenges and improvements needed for cargo transfers.

Ray from Ray’s Guide gives a first look at the Hull C, a massive cargo ship that is now available in Star Citizen. The ship is capable of landing unloaded anywhere and docking loaded at specific locations with cargo facilities. These locations include four stations: Cairo Station, Everest Harbor, Bezdek Point, and Port Tressler. Ray recommends buying the necessary cargo for your route at the admin center before retrieving your ship from the Aesop Terminals.

The Hull C has a single ground entrance, an elevator on the forward side, which leads to the main quarter’s Port side where suit lockers are conveniently located. The ship also has escape pods on the AFT wall and a vestibule that takes you to the cargo spindles and the half section containing three decks. The lowest deck includes an elevator and a ladder on the port side. The component access level houses major components that are behind panels opened by rounded square buttons. Avionics, computers, and life support systems are in the forward section, while the crew quarters with a kitchen, dining table, bunks, and bathroom are in the aft section.

Interestingly, the Hull C does not have a captain’s quarters. The bridge consists of two console seats and a command chair. To begin cargo operations, cargo spindles must be unfurled, and once cargo services are contacted, a landing spot is assigned on the HUD. However, Ray notes that there are issues with cargo transfer, such as the ship impounding cargo due to difficulties in detecting if the ship is stationary. Ray advises familiarizing oneself with the ship and its cargo operations, although improvements are needed.

In addition to discussing the Hull C, Ray also mentions giveaways for reaching 10,000 subscribers and the upcoming annual IAE week giveaway. Participants can win a Hull C or a choice between different ships or store credits by being a member or subscribing and commenting with a secret word provided in the video.

Overall, the Hull C is a promising cargo ship in Star Citizen, although there are some challenges in cargo operations. Ray encourages caution in dealing with potential disruptions from smaller ships and suggests exploring the ship’s capabilities.
