Invictus Launch Week 2955 - Imperator Test Flight:

Hello Subscribers!

With Invictus Launch Week 2955, the mighty Idris arrives as Aegis’ newest flyable ship. We know you’re looking forward to putting this new capital ship through its paces, and wanted to share some news with you regarding the rollout of the Test Flight for Imperator Subscribers.

For those with an active Imperator subscription, the Imperator Test Flight allows you to try out every new ship and ground vehicle for a full week upon release. However, please be aware that the Aegis Idris will be added to the Imperator Test Flight after Invictus Launch Week. This will help maintain a stable experience for all players during the event.

We will take a “snapshot” of eligible accounts when the Idris is released. Once Invictus concludes, these player accounts will have access to the Idris for an entire week, as stated in the description of the Imperator Test Flight. We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the best possible performance in the persistent universe for everyone, and can’t wait to have this long-awaited capital ship in your hands.

As always, we thank you for your support, and see you in the 'verse!

Zyloh-CIG:

Throughout Star Citizen’s evolution, one fundamental principle has remained paramount: everything you pledge for to support our development will eventually be attainable through gameplay. Your contribution helps push things forward, but your time in the 'verse should be equally rewarded.

We’re pushing 11 patches this year instead of 4. We’re crushing more bugs than ever, building more exciting content, moving faster than ever to make the Persistent Universe a better experience for everyone, and in moving that fast, we missed a step.

To be clear, the new Flight Blades will be obtainable for aUEC in our next patch this June. We followed our usual approach by offering early access on the pledge store to help support development. But after some reflection, we’ve decided that for smaller components like Flight Blades or bomb racks, they should be available in-game at the same time they appear on the store.

The choice has and should always be yours. If you want to support the project early, you can, but it’s not required. If you own a game package, you’ll be able to pick these up with in-game currency in our next monthly patch. And for future gameplay kit introductions, we’ll ensure these items are obtainable in-game on day one.

Thanks to everyone who’s weighed in, especially those who brought the heat constructively. This game has always been shaped by the community. Star Citizen wouldn’t exist without your passion and support, or your scrutiny and feedback. We hear you, and we take it all to heart.

CON42 Main Panel with Jared and Thorsten Leimann

-# Summary by @Joschi, edited by me

  • Jared says the June Patch will be “awesome”
  • The first glimpse/implementation of Engineering (not the full version, just partial implementation) and Fire Tech will arrive together.
  • New kind of door scanner coming which denies entry if not wearing the proper clothing (Kill enemy NPC, put on their stuff and it will grant access), ISC about it in 2 weeks
  • CIG working on refinery gameplay with updates to Station Refining coming soon, further updates coming with crafting and base building
  • A door hacking/breaching mechanic will arrive with engineering gameplay
  • Fire venting via opening doors is part of engineering gameplay
  • Bullet penetration is being implemented for ballistics
  • Life Support will be added later down the line
  • Engineering arrives in Tech Preview in the PU and not just Arena Commander. The team is close to release it to Tech Preview; the data is ready just tweaking now
  • Full rebalance of Items (health of components, stats etc) coming
  • FPS Scanning will arrive as a tech preview first, as well as crafting
  • PDCs hitting party members is a bug
  • Ship Armor is part of the first engineering gameplay features arriving (mitigation for the Maelstrom system), mimicking the Maelstrom system before it arrives → data driven
  • Ship death is evolving to more boarding and deactivating, i.e., soft death will be more common and you’ll need to board disabled ships to stop them from being repaired on the inside.
  • Fires will happen exclusively in the interior of the ships, no forest fires etc.
  • Hangar elevators: “We all want it. Next patch will be cool. But to manage expectations, we will not have EVERYTHING solved for that but we will at least be able to prove that we’re [on the right track].”
  • ATLS IKTI (the one at Wikelo’s) coming next patch
  • Regarding torpedo gameplay: the current behavior of torps is not what they want in the end. Right now they’re balanced for the game as it exists today, so they exist in kind of a weird zone.

Zyloh-CIG:

We’re aware of the checkout errors that impacted some players trying to check out. We’re going to add additional wave(s) - which will be posted here once confirmed: Invictus Launch Week 2955 - Availability of Stock-Limited Ships - Star Citizen Spectrum

and here:

The team is working to get a fix in before we queue up additional waves. It will be a couple of days before we're ready to confirm when we'll slot them in - but we'll make sure we give at least 48 hours notice.

from the Guardian MX Q&A:

Another note on visibility: We have redesigned the ship’s cockpit layout by bringing the MFDs and buttons from the top to the bottom. This changes the visibility for the better. We plan to retroactively bring this redesigned cockpit to the base and QI versions in the future.

All paints are compatible with the Guardian series.
