Olli43 Leaves Cloud Imperium Games After Role Change
Ali “Olli43,” the YouTube creator who joined Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games as a content manager in June, says he is leaving the company after several months.
In a post on X, Olli43 said the departure was agreed with CIG because “the role has changed and it isn’t for me.” He did not provide further detail on how the position had changed.
Olli43 said he had supported teams across the company, contributed to several videos including Inside CIG, and helped with the company’s Squadron 42 event. He praised the talent at CIG and said he had embraced the opportunities offered during his time there.
The creator said he intends to return to making videos and streaming, while also exploring potential future collaborations with CIG.
CIG had not publicly commented on the departure at the time of the announcement. Online discussion has included speculation about the reasons for the short tenure, but Olli43’s statement identifies the changed role and his view that it was no longer a fit as the reason for the agreed exit.
