Lifesize Replica Weapons: Executioner Rifle & P15 Sidearm

Commander Abriel Keen handcrafted highly detailed replicas of the Manticore Executioner sniper rifle and P15 sidearm, using materials like wood, electrical wiring, and old joystick components; the rifle features a redesigned internal mechanism for single-shot release, producing realistic sound and movement. The video’s creators laud Keen’s craftsmanship and have displayed the items in their collection, inviting viewers to support and engage with their channel.

The video describes a life-size replica of the Manticore Executioner sniper rifle and its smaller counterpart, the P15 sidearm, which the speaker showed at a recent Piton convention. Contrary to what some might have assumed, these replicas were not created through 3D printing but were entirely handcrafted. The detail and complexity of the weapons, particularly the rifle, were emphasized.

The weapons were made by Commander Abriel Keen, who used a variety of materials including shaped and carved wood, electrical flex, speaker wiring, broken tool parts, and components from an old X52 joystick. The P15 sidearm was presented in a custom-made case with a cut foam interior, alongside proposed attachments like a silencer and a scope. These pieces showcased an impressive level of craftsmanship and ingenuity, with the P15’s construction from wood pieces being particularly convincing in real life.

The Executioner sniper rifle, described as far more complex than the P15, also consists of a wooden outer structure with intricate details such as scraps of wire and plastic. It is noted for its heftiness, contributing to its realistic appearance. The weapon has a particularly striking feature: it can be primed and fired, which initially came with enough power to potentially cause harm to the user and to the integrity of the rifle itself.

Abriel Keen designed the internal firing mechanism from scratch. The original design allowed for a three-round burst that mirrored the in-game weapon’s capabilities but was so powerful that it led to a “dead finger” from the recoil and could even cause the gun to disassemble itself. Keen had to redesign the mechanism for a single-shot release instead. When primed, the rifle’s heat radiator fins retract, and upon firing, they snap open with an audible sound and kickback, even though no actual projectile is fired.

Lastly, the speaker expresses gratitude to Abriel Keen for creating and gifting these incredible replicas. Keen’s talents and passion deeply impress the video’s creators, who have placed the replicas in their “nerd cave” at the Bur Pit Homestead. They encourage viewers to like, subscribe, and possibly support their channel as patrons, and look forward to engaging with the audience in future content.
