Holding the line at Dupree - Star Citizen Piracy - 4.3

In the video, a Star Citizen piracy team exploits a mission bug to hunt and disable cargo ships near Hurston, successfully capturing loot through coordinated ship combat and ground operations despite technical challenges and enemy resistance. Facing increasing threats from other players and a hostile capital ship, they ultimately decide to withdraw safely, securing some loot and valuable experience.

The video begins with a team engaged in piracy activities in Star Citizen, focusing on exploiting a bugged Redwind mission loop where cargo haulers accumulate contracts for easy credits. After the resource drive ended and targets became scarce, the team moved to the planet Depri on Hurston with a Reclaimer ship to hunt for new opportunities. Their first target, a Mark ship, resisted but was ultimately defeated, although a mistimed EMP attack caused the ship to crash in Hurston’s atmosphere, scattering cargo across the surface.

The team quickly shifted focus to a second target, a C2 ship preparing to take off from Depri. Despite some initial difficulties and a chase involving quantum travel, they managed to intercept the ship using coordinated EMP strikes to disable its shields and systems. The target attempted to escape but was forced down, eventually self-destructing in what was described as a “soft death,” leaving behind cargo and a crime stat for the attackers. The team prepared to clear out the wreckage and secure the cargo.

On the ground, the team moved carefully to avoid any remaining hostiles or bugs in the game. They secured the area, eliminated a downed pilot, and dealt with minor landing gear bugs on the disabled ship. The attackers maintained vigilance, ensuring no unexpected threats emerged while they scavenged the cargo and controlled the situation. The teamwork and communication demonstrated their efficiency in handling both ship-to-ship combat and on-foot operations.

Later, the team faced additional challenges when another C2 ship attempted to lift off. During the disable attempt, one of their EMP ships collided with the target, damaging itself but leaving the enemy ship alive. To finish the job, they brought in a heavily damaged F8C Lightning fighter, which successfully disabled the target. Unfortunately, the target ship did not survive the crash, exploding upon impact and despawning before they could loot it.

As the engagement continued, waves of opportunistic players tried to attack the Reclaimer, and a hostile Polaris capital ship arrived on the scene. Recognizing the danger and the slow unloading speed of the Reclaimer, the team decided to withdraw before facing more significant threats. They chose to leave while ahead, prioritizing their safety over further risk, concluding the piracy operation with valuable experience and some loot secured.
