While it comes at a higher price point, its thoughtful engineering and effective cooling make it an excellent choice for users prioritizing airflow and build refinement.

The Haven BF360 Flow case is a thermally focused airflow chassis featuring two large 180mm front intake fans that are unusually thick at 40mm, and a 30mm rear exhaust fan, making it a three-fan default setup. This case is positioned as a true competitor to the well-regarded Fractal Torrent, which has dominated thermal charts for years. Haven has put considerable effort into thermal design, including an airflow scoop at the bottom front and a backflow prevention plate to reduce recirculation of warm air. The build quality is high, with thoughtful touches like rubber grommets at contact points and clearly marked cable routing paths, though there were some minor issues with documentation and fan hub availability that have since been addressed.

Build quality and design features stand out in the BF360, with a stone-style front panel and toolless magnetic front panel assembly reminiscent of the Torrent. Cable management is enhanced by hard plastic channels with built-in Velcro, and rubber grommets are used extensively to reduce metal-on-metal contact. The case includes some unique design elements such as a permanently riveted metal airflow scoop and a less robust GPU support arm compared to Haven’s previous HS420 model. The case supports up to four 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch drives, with flexible mounting locations and a well-thought-out packaging approach to reduce damage during shipping.

At full fan speed, the case achieved excellent CPU temperatures, comparable to or slightly better than competitors like the Lancool 217 and Fractal Torrent. The anti-backflow plate proved effective in preventing warm air recirculation. Adding extra fans to the top as exhaust generally worsened CPU thermals but improved GPU temperatures, illustrating the trade-offs in airflow direction. Unique smoke flow testing was conducted using a fog machine to visualize airflow patterns inside the case, revealing how the large front fans distribute air and how the airflow scoop directs cool air to the GPU. Fan testing on a dedicated machine indicated that the BF360’s fans outperform the Fractal Torrent’s fans in both maximum airflow and static pressure, contributing significantly to the case’s thermal performance advantage.
