First time be AMAZED by Persistence in Star Citizen - PES 3.19 Gameplay

Star Citizen 3.18 introduced the concept of persistent entity streaming, also referred to as ‘PES’. Although this system has had some teething problems, significant improvements have been made. One player had their first ‘wow moment’ when they encountered the persistence of the system during a night of piracy and scavenging.

The player and their partner, Arizona, arrived near Bryant Brickyard to search for transport ships carrying illegal cargo. After spotting a ship in the distance, they ran to the cockpit to try and stop the sale, only to find that the pilot was still onboard. The pilot refused to let them simply take the cargo, leading to a crash and the wreckage being scattered everywhere.

The player and Arizona returned to Flashpoint to collect the cargo from the wreckage and gather the weapons they had dropped in the crash. To their amazement, they found the weapons scattered around where their bodies had been, and the player was able to locate their missing P6 laser. Finding a weapon lost days earlier truly demonstrated the potential of the system when all the bugs are worked out.
