Mission overhauls and modding support were mentioned by 9% and 4% of respondents, respectively, while specific requests included more involvement of NPC crew members in missions, inclusion of repair mechanics, and a more intense first-person shooter experience.

In terms of modding, players would like the game engine to be open for modification, allowing them to add interesting features to the space environment, similar to how modifications are allowed in flight simulators. Other requested features included the possibility of offline mode, affordable Fleet carriers, smoother transitions between star systems, and improvements in the space environment with the discovery of remnants of other civilizations and more atmospheric planet landings.

They also called for a wider variety of nebula models and more meaningful exploration opportunities.
