Elite Dangerous players have plenty to look forward to with new guides, challenges, events, and sales. From exploring abandoned Thargoid Spire sites to participating in the Halloween event and Community goal, there are numerous opportunities for adventure and rewards in the game.

In the latest news for Elite Dangerous, several updates and events have been announced. The Axi and Canon research groups have published new guides covering recent additions to the game, including details on the Thargoid Spire sites and the ongoing Halloween event. Commander Alec Turner has embarked on a unique challenge of circumnavigating the Thargoid Spire platforms in his Scarab SRV, showcasing a thrilling and vertiginous experience. Commander Meccan of the Axi has also released three tutorial videos, providing valuable information on gathering materials, fighting the new Banshee Thargoid drones, and making credits from Thargoid reconnaissance vessels.

The progress of pushing back the Thargoid forces in the ongoing war has resulted in a reduction of controlled systems to 373. The front line is displayed on the in-game Thargoid war map, indicating combat zones, recently liberated systems in need of recovery, and systems on thargoid alert. The community has now had the opportunity to explore abandoned Spire sites that have been completely driven out of Thargoid presence. These sites offer a safe environment for exploration and limited material collection. The abandoned sites, as well as other Spire sites, can be easily located using a tracking spreadsheet provided by Commander Lilac Light.

In terms of discounts and sales, the Frontier Cosmetics store is currently offering a limited Halloween-themed sale, as well as discounts on the game and Odyssey expansion on Steam. The Elite Dangerous merch store also has a sale on Elite-themed merchandise. On the Halloween live stream, the in-game Halloween event was introduced, starting with a task of scanning beacons and unlocking Halloween-themed paint jobs. The event is set to continue for a week, with more content expected. Additionally, a new Wraith gear set was released on the store, and it is also available as a reward for the top 10 participants in a special event Community goal.

Overall, Elite Dangerous players have a lot to dive into, with new guides, challenges, events, and sales. Whether engaging in Thargoid activities, exploring abandoned Spire sites, or participating in the Halloween event and Community goal, there are plenty of opportunities for adventure and rewards in the game.
