Australis Pinball | Community Racetrack Guide | Star Citizen

The Australis racetrack in Star Citizen, designed by Speedweed, features a complex course divided between the main Playfield and the backbox ring, with intricate tunnels, gates, turns, and structures that demand precise navigation and skill. The track offers a unique and engaging racing experience, culminating in a challenging lap that encourages players to master its detailed layout.

The Australis platform in Star Citizen has finally received its own dedicated racetrack, thanks to the efforts of Speedweed, who designed a beautiful and engaging course. The track is split into two main sections: the Playfield, which is the large main platform, and the backbox, a ring structure behind it. Unlike typical planetary tracks, the race starts with a floating start just behind a yellow line beneath a gate.

The race begins by entering the shooter lane and navigating through tunnels that require careful weaving to avoid white boxes. After exiting the tunnels, racers duck under the platform, pass through three gates, and execute a 180-degree turn to ascend above the Playfield. The course then weaves under and over a series of gates near an area called Hitchhiker, followed by passing through smaller inline gates before taking another 180-degree turn above an arm structure.

Next, racers head toward Powerball, entering tunnels similar to the start but without obstacles, allowing for high-speed passage. After exiting, they duck under the platform again and head left, positioning themselves on the left side of the arm. This leads into the Screwball Scramble, featuring a 360-degree clockwise corkscrew around the arm before ascending to the backbox, passing through a hole between the arm and the ring, and executing another 180-degree turn.

The track then guides racers past several buildings and towers, requiring careful navigation between structures and under balconies. The route continues to the slot kickout, a hole between the arm and the ring, before descending back to the Playfield. Racers pass under the arm at any point they choose, approaching the super slot section where they pass through multiple gates, including a launch gate and smaller upper gates, before veering left onto the outlane.

Finally, after exiting the outlane, racers turn right and make their way back to the start and finish line to complete a lap. The guide concludes with encouragement to tackle lap two, highlighting the track’s complexity and the skill required to navigate its unique layout. Overall, the Australis racetrack offers a challenging and visually appealing experience for Star Citizen players.
