August Monthly Ship Report for Star Citizen

The monthly ship report for Star Citizen reveals progress on multiple ships and vehicles, including updates on their white box, gray box, and final art phases, as well as design, lighting, and damage system work. Despite some negativity, Baron encourages a positive outlook and shares his personal projects outside of the game.

In the monthly ship report for Star Citizen, Baron shares updates on various ships and vehicles that are currently in development. The Polaris ship has progressed to its white box phase, with the team completing a basic entity setup and a rough interior white box. This is seen as a significant progress considering the long wait for updates on the Polaris. An unannounced ship has passed its level of design pass and is now focused on adding tertiary details and finishing the lighting for each phase. The Crusader A1 Spirit has progressed through the final art phase, with only a few designs remaining for its interior and exterior, while work also continues on the C1 Spirit cargo variant.

The Tumbril Storm vehicle is approaching the end of production, with all damage meshes built and most level of designs generated. The team is also working to make the vehicle’s lighting procedural and responsive to player interaction. Another new ship variant is going through its gray box phase, with holographic display and in-game previews being created. Additionally, two new variants, possibly for two different ships, are approaching content complete, with work being done on item housings, exterior paneling, and damage system design.

The APOA Santoki ship is still in development, with progress being made on item housings, exterior paneling, and damage system design. While it is unlikely to be released in the upcoming 3.2 patch, it could potentially be showcased during Alien week (IAE). The Origin X1 ship is entering the gray box stage, with the team working on solving aesthetic issues and ensuring mechanical sense, as well as exploring new tools for clean automotive-style geometry. Despite some negativity surrounding Star Citizen content, Baron encourages a more positive outlook and shares his own endeavors, such as working on his car and creating content for his second channel.

Overall, there is progress being made on various ships and vehicles in Star Citizen’s development pipeline, with updates on white box, gray box, and final art phases, as well as design, lighting, and damage system work.
