Around the Verse: Episode 1.04 (2014.07.03)

In this episode of “Around the Verse,” Sandy Gardner and Ben Lesnick discuss their weekend activities and the popular image of James with anime eyes. They then move on to the monthly report, highlighting bug fixes and updates to Arena Commander. The UK team is developing a new game mode called “New Horizons.” They also discuss balancing and fixing bugs in other game modes, such as Capture the Core and Squadron Battle. Additionally, improvements are being made to audio effects, ship components, and overall server stability.

They shift their focus to Squadron 42, the single-player game, with updates on mission four and plans for localization for non-English speaking backers. The team is also working on multi-crew seat functionality and the avatar system. The behavior team is focused on the design of the avatar system and building tools for creating star systems and characters quickly. They are also working on the firing range, MobiGlass, and the asteroid hangar. Ship development progress is revealed, including work on the 890 Jump, Avenger, Cutlass variants, Idris internals, and constellation variants.

The Persistent Universe team is working on designing the persistent universe and building tools for further development.
