In this video, Dark Hour717 discusses the five least favorite size 2 ships in the Star Citizen Universe, as voted by the YouTube and Discord communities. The first tie is between the Consolidated Outland Mustang class and the Roberts Space Industries Aurora class, which are both starter ships in the game. Although they are great introductory ships, they are often quickly replaced by larger and more capable ones, making them less favored by players.
The Drake Buccaneer, which looks aggressive and powerful with its heavy weaponry, disappoints in terms of durability. It has a fragile hull and struggles to withstand attacks in combat, despite its high speed capabilities. This weakness ultimately leads to its inclusion in the least favorite list.
Another tie is between the MISC Reliant Core and the Drake Herald. The Reliant Core, a cargo variant with a unique rotating body style, loses popularity due to being outperformed by the Avenger Titan, a similarly priced ship that offers better cargo capacity and combat capabilities. As for the Drake Herald, it currently lacks viable gameplay mechanics and purpose, which results in its low desirability among players. However, once data transmission gameplay is implemented, the ship’s value may increase.
Coming in at the second spot is the Vanduul Scythe, an alien ship awarded to some backers. The Scythe suffers from various issues, such as landing gear problems and dysfunctional guns. Although it has a menacing appearance and is highly maneuverable, it falls short of expectations due to these technical difficulties and the absence of certain gameplay features.
Finally, the top spot belongs to the Aopoa Khartu-al, the only flyable ship from Aopoa. Despite its unique and stylish design, it lacks firepower with only two repeaters and has a weak hull, making it easy to destroy. This ship fails to live up to its potential as an alien light fighter and is considered the least favorite ship in its size category.
Overall, these five ships are deemed the least favorite by the Star Citizen community, either due to being outperformed by other ships, lacking functionality, or having design flaws.
