Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.2 Begins Evocati Testing

Star Citizen Alpha 4.10.2 has moved into its Evocati PTU testing phase, with the early build focused primarily on stability, persistence and fixes rather than a broad feature release.

Community coverage of the NDA-protected test build points to a new Stanton-system event, though its objectives and other specific content have not been publicly detailed. Testers can reportedly find related contracts through MobiGlas, with a progress tracker and rewards attached to the activity. Because the event is under the Evocati non-disclosure agreement, its gameplay details remain unconfirmed publicly.

Stability and gameplay fixes

Reported changes include corrections to shield-resistance behavior, allowing minimum and maximum resistance values to function as intended. The build also expands abandoned-ship cleanup to major space stations, an effort intended to reduce persistent clutter around busy locations.

Virtual-reality improvements are also included, according to community reports. These changes are said to refine zoom behavior for precision aiming and the use of weapon scopes and sights.

The patch contains a wider set of bug fixes affecting missions, ship responsiveness after quantum travel and freight elevators, among other systems. The emphasis on persistence between PTU builds and technical corrections suggests the update is intended to improve reliability as testing continues.

Evocati is Star Citizen’s initial, limited-access testing group, so Alpha 4.10.2 is not yet available to the wider PTU audience. Cloud Imperium Games has not publicly announced a broader test window or live-release date for the update.
