# Star Citizen 4.11 Preview Expands Nyx I Sites and Tests Planetary Server Systems

_Star Citizen_’s Alpha 4.11 Genesis preview is continuing to add locations and planetary systems on Nyx I, with community testers reporting new outposts, camps and fortified compounds alongside technology intended to better distribute server load across a planet.

The work remains limited to the Evocati test environment and is still in development. Cloud Imperium Games has not confirmed a final release date for Alpha 4.11 in the supplied material.

## New sites across Nyx I

Community coverage of Planet Tech V5, part of the planned Genesis rollout, describes a broader mix of biome-specific points of interest on Nyx I. Newly noted locations include security outposts, construction sites and campsites, while moisture farms and remote science outposts have also been updated.

Earlier preview reports also identified logistics yards and outlaw supply caches among the locations being tested. The sites are intended to give the planet a denser distribution of places to explore and provide destinations for surface-level gameplay.

Transport- and science-oriented contracts are also being tested, according to community reports. Their final variety, rewards and availability remain unclear while the feature set is under development.

One player reported encountering a heavily defended gang stronghold in the new content. The reported compound included walls, watchtowers, anti-aircraft defenses, a large central structure and hostile NPCs, suggesting potential for vehicle-supported assaults or stealth-oriented approaches. That account comes from preview coverage and cannot be independently verified from the supplied material.

## Procedural systems and server-load testing

The latest preview reportedly includes a backend Procedural Generation Tracker, or PGT. Community coverage describes it as a system for tracking and managing procedurally generated content, including mineable deposits, harvestable resources and planetary fauna.

Testers have also described work on quasi-dynamic server meshing or more dynamic planetary load distribution. The aim is to allocate server capacity more effectively as players and generated content are spread across a world. How the technology will perform at larger scale has yet to be established.

Reports from the preview describe more varied terrain, forests, desert vegetation, weather and lighting on Nyx I. Some players have reported fauna sightings, although the frequency and final behavior of wildlife in the test build are not clear.

## Genesis and Planet Tech V5

Alpha 4.11 is expected to be an early deployment of the Genesis technology suite. Its planned features include Planet Tech V5, which is intended to update planetary generation, terrain shading and environmental-asset placement, and Starchitect, a modular procedural system for placing settlements and other locations.

Nyx I is expected to be a central showcase for those systems. The preview’s growing collection of farms, research sites, camps, security installations and hostile compounds points toward a more populated planetary play space, but the content remains subject to change before a wider release.
